Hometown Flooding...

The flooding of the Midwest has been front-page news for weeks. Until yesterday, it hadn't really hit home with me. Then, a friend of mine, who still lives in my hometown, sent me this photo of the Chariton River running over Highway 36.

I have read in many articles that experts don't think that this year's flood is as bad as the flood of 1993, but I do not recall the Chariton being so far above flood stage that it closed down a major highway. I pray that God sends rain to Georgia instead of the Midwest.
