Oh wait, that's not me next to my buddy – that's her fiancée, Amar.
I have know Alpa most of my life, and I am so excited that she has found someone to share her life with...finally! Of course, no one is EVER going to be good enough for my Al, but Amar comes as close as anyone will ever get. She is genuinely happy around him, and I am thankful to him for that.
I will be traveling to Philadelphia next weekend to celebrate her engagement in style! To those of you lacking Indian friends, Indian families celebrations are over-the-top soirees. Lots of food, lots of bling and lots of fun!

Tell Alpa congratulations from me! She sure did turn into a beautiful "swan"!
I still remember seeing you, Rena and Alpa when you were in high school. To this day, I tell the story about the float and the "tie" thing and Rena's Dad! I laugh every time.
