As President Bush prepares to leave the office he has held for the last 8 years, I will celebrate the coming of a new administration. Although a great achievement, I will not be celebrating the election of a black President, but a new President with a fresh set of eyes. What a great time to be an American!

From someone who went to school in a Southern state where schools were still segregated and I never really knew why, I have to agree, What a wonderful time to be an American.
Not only for the fresh set of eyes, but for the fact that some of the hatred and bigotry that this country once endured has lessened and people are beginning to see people as people - not as races.
I hope this will be a wise, compasionate and heathly administration for ALL Americans!
